"MID-WEEK MASTERS" SESSIONS
July 2 * July 9 * "Saturday Session" on August 9
Working with Broadway Bound Director Dedra Daniels Mount and other members of the Broadway Bound faculty, performers ages 3 to 20 have the chance this summer to take fun-filled “master classes” that combine dance for musical theatre, voice and acting! Classes are open to all levels of experience and ability. No two sessions will be alike, and the sessions will not build upon one another. So you can sign up for one session, two sessions...or all three – it’s up to you!!
The “Mid-Week Masters” sessions also serve as auditions for the 2025-2026 Broadway Bound program. Note: “Mid-Week Masters” participants may choose not to be considered for membership in Broadway Bound.

(Schedules & Rates are the same for each of the dates listed above. Deadline for registration is 5:00 p.m. on the Monday before each Wednesday session [and 5:00 p.m. on August 4 for the "Saturday Session"]. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Sessions that do not have registered participants will be canceled. We also reserve the right to consolidate age groups and move session times when necessary.)

Always wanted a starring role? Have an important audition coming up? Now's your chance! It's time to showcase your dramatic talents! Explore new characters. Develop your body language and feel at ease on stage! This workshop is also your opportunity to audition for the Broadway Bound Scenes & Monologues Team! This audition-only team will meet weekly from September through May to develop monologues and scene work, learn new techniques, and challenge creativity with improv exercises and theatre games. The teams are also an excellent way for members to prepare spring audition pieces for Tri-DAC, the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, summer programs, colleges, universities and conservatories. Note: “Mid-Week Monologues” participants may choose not to be considered for membership on the team.

(All camps will be led by state-certified Broadway Bound Assistant Director & instructor Leighton Mount, M.S., assisted by other members of the Broadway Bound staff.)
THE QUEEN IN ME
WHO: Ages 8-14
WHEN: June 9-13, 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
COST: $150
Throughout this camp, your young queen will be taught how to apply stage makeup, walk with confidence, pose, sit, handle an interview, and answer an onstage question with royal ease. On Friday, family and friends are invited to see what our queens have learned and watch as each queen is crowned and given a sash bearing their unique title (based on the scores from Thursday's "preliminaries"). Register today to have your queen receive the royal treatment this summer!
This camp will be led by the 2024 Mrs. South Carolina Plus America Supreme, Leighton Mount, who won the pageant's "Excellence in Education" award, top score for interview, the title of Mrs. South Carolina Plus America, and was named Supreme for having the highest overall score out of all the division winners. She went on to nationals in Houston, Texas, last August, where she won the national awards for talent, spokesmodel, and highest overall interview score. Leighton is now director of a new youth pageant, "South Carolina's Crown Jewels," which will be held this fall, and she is excited to help the young lady in your life find their inner queen. Other reigning queens will be guest educators/judges throughout the week, and a guest stylist will educate the participants on how to let their outer beauty reflect their inner beauty.

Let your imagination soar with this weeklong camp where young performers will learn the basics of musical theatre in a fun-filled environment. Campers will learn jazz for musical theatre steps, vocal techniques, acting basics, and prop/costume design in this camp. Snacks will be provided for the campers each day, and the camp will end with a fairytale performance for friends and family! Also, face painting and/or fairy hair for each of the campers will be provided to make their closing performance a truly magical and memorable experience!

WHEN: June 23-27, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Campers will get to compare and contrast the stage production and movie adaptation of this beloved musical and -- at the end of the week -- will perform songs from the show for family and friends. Led by Leighton Mount (a fan of Wicked since seeing the original Broadway production) and Broadway Bound Voice Instructor Mattie Mount, young "Ozians" will be immersed in the magic of musical theatre and will discover whether they are an Elphaba or a Galinda. Either way, we will have fun "Defying Gravity"!

Taught by Dedra Daniels Mount, each participant will be met at their current level and helped to advance in the development of cartwheels, round-offs, walk-overs, chest rolls, backbends...and more!
